The 20" H x 8.5" W design weighs only 5.5 pounds for easy portability and storage. Constructed of high grade polished stainless steel, this two-piece unit is extremely durable yet easy to clean. It processes approximately one gallon per hour and holds 2.4 gallons. The British Berkefeld "Super Sterasyl" ceramic filter elements removes up to 99.99% of particles, cysts, parasites and pathogenic bacteria including e coli, cryptosporidium, gardia and salmonella typhii. The silver-impregnated system also reduces chlorine, rust, sediment and organic chemicals. Total filter capacity is 2,500 to 15,000 gallons depending on the source water. The carbon matrix interior provides additional support in removing chemicals like chlorine and other bad taste and odor elements.
